ABOUT ME
I am a senior lecturer at the Centre for Research Ethics and Bioethics (CRB) at Uppsala University. I have a very broad interests in legal philosophy and normative and applied ethics. I am especially interested in ethical queries concerning how to respond to and prevent wrongdoings and social injustices; a topic I've explored in a number of different contexts. An important part of my research nowadays concerns research ethics and professional ethics.

I am one of four editors of Tidskrift för Politisk Filosofi, which is a Swedish academic publication in political philosophy.

Before joining CRB, I was a researcher in practical philosophy at the department of Philosophy at Stockholm University. Prior to that I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Stockholm Centre for the Ethics of War and Peace, which is also part of the department of philosophy. Before that, I worked as a fixed term part time lecturer in medical ethics at the Centre for Healthcare Ethics at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. I completed my PhD in Philosophy in 2017 at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. My PhD thesis explored a few ethical issues in relation to prison management.

In my spare time I enjoy playing music. Among other things, I play the classical guitar in the folk trio ro.t together with my wife Rebecka O'Nils and our friend Jenny Klefbom. You can listen to our music on Spotify.
